Love as an armor

Well, anyway.
Yes, in the very end of the story, Mars and Ashura become a couple. I know that might surprise some people, who prefered Mars with K-013 "Lilith". Mars did actually love Lilth, but (and he wouldn't admit it) mainly because of her physical ressemblance with Ashura, those loss had shocked him very badly. When becoming a Fael'Ann (kinda spirit of nature), an omniscient being, Lilith helps Mars realize all of this. And when, finally, Ashura is back more than 400 years after, things go very naturally : 3

This drawing takes place between Mars' realization and Ashura's return. The idea came from something beautiful my boyfriend once told me, "You don't have to bear my pain, having your love as an armor is enough to me".
Why the f*ck did I draw my only gay couple then? Who knows.
